My brother, Michael, is an aeronautical engineer and helicopter pilot for the U.S. Coast Guard. I thought that I would include his message on the emergency landing of US Airways Flight 1549 today:
I'm not sure who I'm more proud of; the pilot who landed an airliner on
the water and didn't lose a single passenger, or my boys who were on
the spot to make sure he didn't lose a single passenger!
Great job by all to avert a major tragedy. Many lucky families out there today.
